All Nature Preschool students must be at least 3 years old, toilet-proficient, and capable of following directions to keep themselves and others safe. Upon enrollment, additional forms are required and must be completed by the first day of school.

I understand that Dr. Dodge's Nature Preschool (hereafter referred to as “Nature School”) experience requires active parent participation and support at home. I understand that the school curriculum is experiential and seasonally- and nature-based. Nature School is child-directed and includes music, art, social interaction and exploratory play. All teachers are trained in nature/outdoor education as well as CPR certified and licensed by the state of Maine as child care providers. I am aware that Nature School is totally nature-based, and children will be outside in all weather conditions, except severe weather conditions. I am committed to providing my child appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. I understand that Nature School is NOT appropriate for children who do not follow instructions. Children will also be allowed an unusually wide range of physical experiences including going to the bathroom outside. I understand that in order for me to enroll my child in Nature School, he or she must be able to follow directions carefully and show respect towards teachers and other children. Children must be toilet-proficient in order to attend. They must know when they have to go to the bathroom and be able to effectively communicate that. I understand that the admissions process includes a school tour for parents and children to attend together to determine if Nature School is a good fit for everyone before final enrollment forms are signed. I understand that this application is NOT a contract, and I will expect to hear from Dr. Dodge's Nature Preschool to register my family for a school tour. I understand if all spaces at Nature School are full, my child will be placed on a waiting list.
